One of those moments.

So, yesterday (3/7) I had one of those panic parent moments!
Pops had a reaction to a new sun cream I bought her.
The past few days I've heard nothing but 'keep your kids protected by the sun' on this morning they said that being burnt as a child can increase your likelyhood of getting skin cancer as an adult FOUR times as much. Four times? That's crazy and scary to even think about!!
The suncream I was using on pops is a factor 30 so when I came across a factor 50 I naturally assumed it would be the better... wouldn't everyone? My only thought was sun protection and I completely forgot to take into acount her sensitive skin!
I put the cream on her and off for some lunch we went.
It must have been about an hour and a half later when I noticed pops rubbing her face, she had come out in a bright red blochy rash over the right side of her face around her eye. I was so panicked so as I was phoning my mum for advice I was wiping her face with a wipe to get off the cream (it's the only thing I could think to do) as I was panicking like a mad person a lady saw and came over to help.
She told me it was a reaction and to pop to the chemist to get some periton for her but because pops is under 1 they wouldn't give it to me over the counter so off to the doctors we went. The rash had gone down so much by the time we got there.

We had quite a long wait but pops occupied herself by showing off her new walking skills.

I don't want to be caught out with a situation like that ever again so I'm going to make a first aid pack to keep on me at all times (once finished ill post about it)

Have you ever been in a situation like this or similar?
How did you cope?
Do you have anything you carry around with you incase of emergency?

Until the next post,
Are and Pops.
